Project Overview
The Shibuyunji Solar Power Project represents a critical step forward in Zambia's renewable energy transition. Strategically located in the Shibuyunji District of Lusaka Province, the project will capitalize on the region's excellent solar irradiation levels.
Developed by Pranshu Solar (Pranshu Investment Ltd), the Phase 1 development is sized at 50 MWac, utilizing state-of-the-art bifacial solar modules and single-axis tracking systems to maximize energy yield.
The plant will connect directly to the ZESCO national grid via a new dedicated substation, providing clean, dispatchable power during peak daytime hours and reducing reliance on vulnerable hydroelectric reserves during drought years.
